I am currently showing two pieces of work at the Nevada Museum of Fine Art in Las Vegas. As part of the Contemporary Masters Show. Now through Oct. Please visit www.snmfa.com for more information. I am also going to attend the Ice Capades 70 year reunion at the beginning of summer which should be a hoot and lots of inspiration for some colorful new paintings when I return home.
My new home in Summerland BC is fabulous! I love it here. The town is quaint and so friendly. I am selling some small works, folk art dolls and a few art cards at the Summerland Art Gallery. It's a terrific gallery with very talented artist showing intriguing work. Please visit http://summerlandarts.com/ for hours to visit.
I am facilitating "painting with your feet" at the Arts Picnic on August 10th in Kelowna at the Arts Common. This is the grass area inbetween the Art Gallery and the Rotary Centre for the Arts. The National Youth Orchestra will be participating and the whole event is free. Please go to www.kelownaartgallery.com for details.
I will also be painting live again this year at the Kelowna Art Gallery Gala in October. Stay tuned for ticket info or go to the web site www.kelownaartgallery.com for info.
Have a great summer!
I am moving my studio! After ten years in Kelowna and three at the Rotary Center for the Arts my husband and I have moved to Summerland. I will be moving my studio the last two weeks of May. I am researching art space in Summerland and had a lovely tour of the Summerland Art Gallery just today. Until further notice you can reach me by email from this site or call my cell.
I am also getting ready to show my art in Nevada next month and attend an Ice Capades reunion in Las Vegas. Lots of new adventures!
My artwork and short bio appear on page 105 of this recently published art book. It is available at Amazon.com or you can order it directly from me and the publisher will ship it directly to you! Please email me if you are interested.
I have photographed two new wave/surf paintings, a polar bear and her cub and an abstract piece in red. They are all on the site under the appropriate headings in the gallery pages. Please have a look! I am waiting to hear from the publisher of Contemporary Masters III for the launch date of this book which I am in. It should be next month. I have also been asked to show three peices in a show this summer at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art. My work will be exhibited June 19 through September 4, 2010. Happy January!
I will be back in the studio early January to photograph works I have been finishing up. Hopefully I will get them up on the site soon.
I am being included in this upcoming art book. Check back for details in the new year.
I will be cooking and celebrating American Thanksgiving for most of the week November 23rd through the 26th but will return to the studio Dec 1 for a few days of painting. I should be in the studio for most of December if you feel the need for some last minute art gifts - call or come by. Still updating this silly web site and all the photos. Someday!
